Learn how to invite Mika and set it up on your server in a few easy steps.

🚀 Getting Started with Mika

Setting up Mika on your server takes just a few clicks. Follow this guide to invite the bot, configure essential modules, and start using features right away.


📨 Invite Mika to Your Server

To begin using Mika, you'll need to invite the bot to your Discord server.

Make sure you have the "Manage Server" permission in the server.

✅ Grant Required Permissions

Mika needs certain permissions to function properly:

  • Administrator (for performing actions like managing roles and advanced moderation)
  • Manage Server
  • Manage Roles
  • Manage Channels
  • Kick Members
  • Ban Members
  • Create Invite
  • Manage Nicknames (for marking a user AFK by changing nicknames)
  • Change Nickname (for changing bot's nickname from dashboard)
  • Manage Expressions (for uploading stickers and emoji to your server)
  • Manage Webhooks (for creating, editing, and deleting webhooks)
  • View Audit Logs (for reading audit logs)
  • View Channels
  • Manage Events
  • View Server Insights
  • Send Messages
  • Send Messages in Threads
  • Create Public Threads
  • Create Private Threads
  • Send TTS Messages
  • Manage Messages
  • Manage Threads (for suggestions module)

🛠️ Open the Dashboard

After inviting Mika, head over to your Profile and select a server that you want to manage.

Here you can:

  • Customize each module
  • Configure preferences
  • Toggle features on/off
  • Access/Manage premium settings

You can start by enabling the most popular modules:

  • 🎵 Music: High-quality audio playback
  • ⭐ Starboard: Highlight top messages
  • 🔊 Temp VC: Temporary voice channels on join
  • 🎭 Confessions: Anonymous message system
  • 🛡️ Moderation: Auto actions, filters, logging

Just click into each module from the sidebar to begin configuration.

🎚️ Customize to Your Liking

Each module comes with customization options. You can:

  • Set up thresholds (e.g. minimum stars for Starboard)
  • Choose target channels
  • Enable or disable specific features

👥 Manage Server Access Beta

From the Dashboard, you can also manage who can edit Mika’s settings using the settings page.

Note

By default, server admins and owner have access to the dashboard settings and can configure any aspect of Mika for the server.
